While both Zavvi and Woolworths’ stores on the highstreet are now closed, their online shops have been bought up by retailers and thus remain open for business.
This Christmas Zavvi has a special promotional event called Mega Monday which offers up to 80% off selected items. Bargains may be had, so it might be something to check out.
Woolworths want to tempt gamers with a voucher code that offers £20 off any gaming and console bundle. One example is the Playstation 3 slim 320GB console with the Move starterpack for £285.
To claim this deal or any other console bundle you may find on their site, you will need this voucher code: ZQ179.

We have been going through the games section of the Black Friday special offer week, and found plenty of games to choose from.

Two Nintendo DSi handheld consoles have had their prices reduced:
Nintendo DSi (Black) or Nintendo DSi (White) for £99 (34% off original price).
Three of the Playstation 3 console models have been included in the Special Deals (and we hope that more will follow as the week progresses):
The Playstation 3 Slim with 320GB harddrive has been reduced in price, be it only slightly, from £284.99 to £270.91 (5% off).
The Playstation 3 Slim console with 160GB harddrive has had an 8% reduction in price from £249.99 to £229.99.
And finally, The Playstation 3 with 250GB + Modnation Racers is now £264.99 (7% off)

As mentioned in our previous blog post about Christmas promotional events, Amazon’s week-long special offer event titled ‘Black Friday’ has now begun.
So far, there are plenty of deals to take advantage of, but we have singled out a few games that may be of interest.
First up is FIFA 2011 for the Xbox 360 at £37.46 total. A 25% reduction in price.
GuitarHero 6 – Warriors of Rock for the PS3 is now £22.00, 56% off the original price of £49.99. It must be stressed that this is for the game only.
The avid PC gamer should not feel left out, as there seem to be a few good deals for PC games as well.
Fallout: New Vegas can be snapped up for £15.99 (original price was: £34.99)
Call of Duty: Black Ops is another nice find, but reduced a little bit less than the others, ending up at £34.99 (saving 13%).
And for those preferring to play Assassin’s Creed on the PC instead of the Xbox, Amazon gives you the option to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for £24.99, saving 38%.

This Monday the 22nd of November, Play.com will have a one day promotion event titled ‘Monday Madness’ where there will be a wide range of products reduced by as much as 70% in price.
This could be a great opportunity to snap up a quality game for a bargain price.

Amazon.co.uk: Black Friday!
In contrary to what the name may suggest, this promotion from Amazon will last an entire week, starting this Monday the 22nd of November. New offers and money-saving deals will be added every day. We will keep our eyes peeled on this one and add any interesting deals that may crop up.
Argos have relaunched their special offer on free gift vouchers. Any order over £50 will receive a free £5 Argos gift voucher and any order over £100 will receive a free £10 Argos gift voucher.
Full terms and conditions on the gift voucher offer can be found here. The offer ends 20th December and the gift vouchers are valid until 22nd January 2010.
Updated 10pm: Play have now returned the price of their Xbox 360 Elite bundle to £189.99. The deal was only on their site for 12 hours, in total.
The code works with all consoles and games for any platform (including the PC). It will not work with products in the Electronics, PC (software and hardware) or Mobile categories.
The last day of the voucher code coincides with the Play.com Monday Madness sale we mentioned yesterday. There are several nice discounts to be found, including a significantly reduced price on Play.com’s main Xbox 360 Elite bundle.

Several retailers are emailing us about “Cyber Monday”, a sale they’re holding tomorrow 7th December. Promises include large discounts and savings on electronics, games, and potentially consoles.
This appears to be a one-off sale, so we’d definitely recommend browsing through the websites of the major retailers on Monday to see what discounts are on offer. We’ll highlight anything of particular interest on this blog.
Play.com have a “Monday Madness” sale on today, with some significant discounts on different games products. One deal we spotted is a heavily reduced price for Borderlands on all platforms, and there are plenty of other discounts to browse through.
