Set in both the medieval past and a distopian future, Assassin’s Creed delivers a mix of free-roaming action, spectacular locations, and an intriguing story. Many games since have tried to emulate its groundbreaking use of parkour animations.
Despite a sequel being developed, this game is well worth buying due to both its enduring quality and low cost. Available for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, there is little to choose between the two platforms.
Assassin’s Creed is also available for the PC, but due to ongoing bugs and flaws we do not recommend it on that platform.
