Borderlands is a mix between the first=person shooter and role-playing genres. With distinctive, cell-shaded graphics and a apocalyptic wasteland setting, it has proved one of the surprise hits of 2009.
Borderlands features single-player and multiplayer co-operative gameplay, with up to four players able to explore and fight together through the world of Pandora. The game has borrowed many elements from Diablo in terms of its loot system, featuring hundreds of thousands of different weapon combinations.
The Playstation 3 version of Borderlands is equivalent to those of the PC and Xbox 360, though those with powerful enough computers may consider the PC version due to the improved graphics available. Beyond that, there is little difference between the platforms for this particular game.
