Description and Review

Call of Duty: World at War is the fifth instalment in the widely-publicised Call of Duty series. Set during the Second World War, it features a single player campaign, online multiplayer, and a split-screen cooperative campaign.

World at War is undoubtedly an excellent first-person shooter, continuing the pedigree established by the previous Call of Duty games. While not as widely played as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or its sequel Modern Warfare 2, World at War features an excellent campaign mode and was the first in the series to allow split-screen cooperative play.

With many other competitors in this genre, Call of Duty: World at War is still well worth considering for a purchase (if the price is right, of course).
