Dead Space is a critically-acclaimed survival horror game, released across numerous platforms in October 2008. Its success was notable for not being based on a previous franchise, something of a rarity in the modern games industry. It received the Gamespot Best of 2008 "Most surprisingly good game" award.
There is little difference between the quality of Dead Space between the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Those using the PC version do have access to better graphics, but only if their computer is powerful enough to supply them.
A sequel for Dead Space is already in development, but a firm release date has yet to be announced.
