The Playstation 3 Slim is the latest edition of Sony's Playstation 3 console. Featuring a 250GB hard disk, the PS3 Slim is reportedly 33% smaller, 36% lighter, and consumers 34% less power than previous models of the console.
Most importantly, the release of the PS3 Slim has seen the Playstation receive a significant price drop. This brings it within reach of far more customers, with many previously considering themselves priced out of the market.
The Playstation 3 remains the finest console of this generation in terms of multimedia playback, with superb DVD upscaling and a built-in DVD player. It has continued to improve on its gaming and online offerings, and there are now many excellent titles available for the platform.
