Super Mario Galaxy was widely regarded as the best 3D Mario game since Mario 64. Super Mario Galaxy 2 aims to continue that success, with creator Shigeru Miyamoto stating the new game includes "95-99% new features".
Changes in Super Mario Galaxy 2 include the return of Yoshi, a range of new suits (from the same mould as the popular bee suit in Super Mario Galaxy), and completely brand new star worlds. Another aim of the development team is to make Super Mario Galaxy 2 more challenging than the original.
While there have been no reviews of Super Mario Galaxy 2 as of yet, initial previews and Nintendo's pedigree with games of this type suggest this will be one of the stand-out Nintendo Wii games of 2010.
