The advantage of Wii Play is not the mini-games themselves; they are fairly average by Wii standards. The real advantage is that Wii Play comes bundled with a Wii Remote, and only costs a few pounds more.

Essentially, you get a free selection of mini-games thrown in with your controller purchase.

Wii Play includes a number of mini-games that are both fun and demonstrate the different abilities of the Nintendo Wii’s controller. While they won’t (and haven’t) won any awards, they are well worth the extra few pounds it takes to buy them.
