The Xbox 360 Super Elite is identical to the Xbox 360 Elite in every way apart from two: it comes in a different shade of black (yes, really) and has a larger 250GB hard disk. It was released in November 2009 as part of an improved Xbox 360 line-up, which saw the Xbox 360 Premium phased out in favour of the new, improved Elite models.
The Xbox 360 is an excellent console, and a close second to the Nintendo Wii in terms of popularity. It comes with the best online multiplayer and games selection of any modern console, and is competitively priced given what it offers in comparison to the Wii and PS3.
While we do not recommend the Super Elite over the less expensive Xbox 360 Elite (120GB), many will be tempted by this high-end version of the console. There are some excellent Xbox 360 Super Elite bundles available at the moment. The two best deals come from Amazon and Play.com:
While the Amazon deal represents better value for money, the Play.com deal includes some of the best games available for the Xbox 360. Either is an excellent choice.
