Best Nintendo Wii / Wii Fit Bundle Deals: a Buyers' Guide
Last updated 13th December 2010
We've compared all the bundle deals for the Nintendo Wii console to find the best offers available. For research, we've looked at all the Nintendo Wii bundle deals from Amazon, Argos, ASDA, Comet, Currys, GAME, Gameplay, Gamestation, HMV, John Lewis, LOVEFiLM, CD WOW!, Play.com, Sainsbury's, Tesco, and Very.
We've split the guide into two parts. The first looks at bundle deals for just the Nintendo Wii console. The second part looks at deals that include the Nintendo Wii console and Wii Fit.
The basic Wii console package this Christmas comes with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, and a free Motionplus attachment. There are still some old console packages featuring just Wii Sports floating around however, so be sure to check what's included before making your purchase.
Nintendo Wii Console (White)
The choice facing those buying Nintendo Wii consoles is huge, and in many cases downright confusing. Of all the bundles available, Amazon currently offers the best deal. As with all Amazon deals, they offer some choice in how you construct your bundle deal:
This bundle is also available for the Black Nintendo Wii console (see below), with a reduced price and a slightly changed set of games.
There are no other bundles that can match these offers at the moment. We'll update this guide when anything new becomes available!
Nintendo Wii Console (Black)
Nintendo has released three separate black editions of the Wii for the Christmas season. They include different combinations of games to the other Wii packages on the market, but are otherwise identical.
There are relatively few good bundle deals that include the Nintendo Wii Black Edition. Amazon has one option that comes with Wii Fit Plus:
* Amazon: Nintendo Wii (Black) + Wii Fit Plus + Wii Sports + Just Dance + one other game: £200 total
Bundles from other retailers tend to offer a selection from only average-quality titles. GAME have a series of bundles priced at £180 that include:
* GAME: Nintendo Wii (Black) + Wii Sports + Mario Kart + Wii Wheel + one other game: £180 total
The games on offer include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Raving Rabbids Travel in Time, and Just Dance 2.
Nintendo Wii Console (Red)
While the Red Special Edition Wii is atill in stock at a number of retailers, it is not currently included in any bundle deals. We'll update this section as soon as any new bundles become available!
Nintendo Wii Console with Wii Fit Plus
The new version of the Wii Fit game has been out almost a year now. While there are few traditional bundles that include the Wii Fit, Nintendo has just released a new Black Edition Nintendo Wii that includes the Wii Fit Plus, and at a reduced price.
Officially released on 3rd December, Amazon is now offering this package in one of their Wii bundle deals:
Amazon is one of the only retailers currently offering this package as part of a decent bundle deal. We'll update this section as soon as any other deals come onto the market!
In the meantime, look at our Nintendo Wii with Wii Fit Plus comparison page for more information.
There are other offers out there, but in many of those cases we found it works out cheaper to just buy the components separately! When browsing for cheaper bundles, be sure to check our price comparison pages for the Wii Console and Wii Fit Plus to find the lowest prices.
As always, we've linked to all the deals we used when compiling this guide in the second column.
While we highly recommend choosing a bundle deal when buying a new console, we do include a standard comparison page for just the basic Nintendo Wii console packages:

We also have price comparison pages on the different Wii accessories that are available:
